We are currently constructing our Purbeck Grange development in Welford on Avon, which comprises of six spacious five-bedroom homes. The raffle prize donation is a way of saying thanks to the residents for their patience while the building work takes place, which finishes in September 2019.

Sue Adams, Sales Manager at Kendrick Homes, said: “We wanted to say thank you to the local community in Welford on Avon for accepting our new homes into their village.

“At Kendrick Homes, we are more than just housing developers; we care about the communities we work in and invest time in getting to know the residents. It’s important to us that local people are on board with our new developments. That’s why we do our best to support the areas we build in as much as we can. Our hamper donation is one way we can express our thanks to the people of Welford on Avon and we hope the raffle winner enjoys the prize.”

The annual Welford and Weston on Avon Street Fair sees over 1000 people congregate on the streets outside the Welford and Weston on Avon Memorial Hall to enjoy a day of entertainment and stall-browsing.

The fair will raise vital funds for the upkeep of the hall, which was built in memory of the men of Welford on Avon and Weston on Avon who died in WW1 and WW2.

Peter Deakin, Treasurer at the Welford and Weston Memorial Hall, said: “The upkeep of the hall costs around £10,000 every year, so we must continuously fundraise to make sure we can keep it running. The fair is our biggest fundraising event and we are always looking for prize donations for our raffle.

“We’re extremely thankful to the team at Kendrick Homes for donating the wonderful Fortnum & Mason hamper, which includes a bottle of prosecco, luxury biscuits and more, to this year’s raffle. It will be our main prize and is sure to attract a big crowd, which means more ticket sales for us.”

Julia Worsey, Secretary of the Welford and Weston on Avon Memorial Hall said: “The hall is the hub of the community. It’s been a central part of the village for years and has hosted many parties and other events in its time.”

Sue Adams said: “Welford on Avon is a beautiful village and our Purbeck Grange development fits right in. The houses are set back from the road in a private area with stunning views. We’ve sold 50 per cent of the plots so far and have three left to sell, which won’t be difficult to do in such a picturesque area with brilliant travel links to Warwickshire, Leamington Spa and Birmingham.”

The Welford and Weston on Avon Street Fair is on Sunday 9 June from 11am to 4pm.
